Buying bare...bones

I'm someone who's always looking to make a quick buck. I've done everything in my spare time to make a little extra money. Among the most profitable though, is anything dealing with computers.
It doesn't take much learning to understand enough about computers. Yet for some reason, people feel they need to hire a professional. I know people who spend $100 dollars to a student just to get their computers running faster.
If you know anything about computers, you can use those skills to make custom-built computers for people in you area. And the best way to do it is with a barebones system.
If you really know what you're doing, their are all sorts of things on your computer you would like to tweak.
You want to check your busses on the motherboard to make sure they correspond with your RAM, and that you have G0 stepping on you CPU, etc. But those are all ways to squeeze an infinitesimal amount of speed out of an already fast computer.
A barebones computer means all you have to do is buy a the extraneous materials that many companies offer as a combo deal with it.
By assembling it yourself you gain valuable experience as well as a working knowledge of how to fix or upgrade your system, as well as saving yourself quite a bit of money. It also allows you to have a system that corresponds exactly to your needs.
Try buying and setting up a barebones kit next time instead of buying a computer, and see if you can find a reason not to love it.
