After a few months of use, I went to unlock my Kensington notebook lock from my laptop and they key got stuck in the lock. Luckily, I was able to pry the lock out of my laptop but the key remained jammed in the lock with the locking mechanism stuck halfway between locked and unlocked. No amount of force could get the key out. I was so unimpressed with this turn of events that I did not even pursue replacing my lock via warranty. _____________________________________ **Webmaster, Guy Ames' note: Tom, I hear you. For carrying fewer keys, and another option (we actually do like the Kensington locks and their warranty here) try Kensington's ComboSaver Combination Lock . And if you want to change the combination, you can do that, too.
